For me it was the decision of what man I wanted to be.
Will I waste my lifes work chasing temporary pleasures?
Can I look the lord in the eye when my spirit ascends, and embrace him knowing I've done good works?
These are the questions you must ask yourself when you think life is taking a turn for the worst.
I remember seeing an interview of Richard Pryor after his free-basing accident. He had a buddy he would tell why he was doing it and how hard it was and blah blah blah. He said his buddy's only response was always "What are you going to do about it?" Ultimately, you are the only person who can change who you are.
Exactly. I dedicate my life to hard work now.
I am just preparing for all the debt bubbles around the world public and financial system to pop. For now, my life is work, family, hobbies, and preparations
Some of my favorite lyric/poetry is from My Back Pages:
Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow
