To anyone who says we are incapable of making progress, remember that we tore down the Berlin wall within most of our lifetimes. There used to be a whole communist state that was fully and actually communist. The losses we've had lately in public discourse and the institutionalization of many communist dogmas in academic circles shows that we can loose ground too. The truth is that the future is wide open, and we have to decide which direction we are going in.
