He hated me. I was a woman. I did learn a lot from him, though not like my brother did (he actually learned music). I got a wide variety of stuff. I still cry listening to the Beach Boys. I just got hit for not singing right.

That's really a shame. I understand, though. Although she mellowed out in her old age, I had 'mommy dearest' in my youth.
