My friend Jack was a good man. If alive today, he'd be 73.
Years ago, he was drafted into the military. However, he refused because he didn't believe in war and didn't want to kill anyone. Unfortunately, he was imprisoned when found and put into solitary confinement.
The guard demanded that he shave his beard, but he refused. Consequently, the guard drew blood when shaving him.
He asked him if he was a masochist.
Jack's answer ... " What does that make you?"
They let him out soon after and he was respected in prison after that incident, even by the guards.
