That's cool. I dabbled with Ableton years ago and then stopped for some stupid reason. I have a few of the Korg Volca machines to mess around with but I haven't touched them in a long while. I did get a new laptop so I was thinking about getting into Ableton again. I have a Korg MicroKontrol USB keyboard and a Akai EWI USB collecting dust, I really should get back into it. I miss playing with the software synths. I also have a couple of decent mixers, a good amp, turntables for mixing and a good amount of vinyl. If life challenges didn't get in the way I would probably be more advanced with my music hobby but it essentially was put on pause for 5 years.
From like 2000-2004 we did a weekly techno party, vinyl only. None of that CDJ crap that everybody uses now. That was a lot of fun. Basically getting paid to drink beer. It was also fun being connected to the local scene and meeting the other DJ's/producers. It was a lot of work but well worth it.
