It's one of those bands my sis listened on repeat for years, and that trauma will never let me consider them seriously.
I recall when my friend first told me about Muse, I liked a couple of songs. Then I bought an album. It was okay, but lacking something. I saw something recently that explained what I was feeling. They are a band that constantly tries too hard to sound like themselves. It just doesn't feel right.
I liked them back in the day. I kinda lost track of them like 10 years ago. Their new album has some good songs though.
I went to one of their shows a couple weeks ago. 10/10. Excellent showmen for live performances.
Probably 20 years ago I saw that the spin doctors were doing a show at a local venue. $10 tickets. Like most people my friends and I only knew the one song. Only one friend wanted to go with me. It was an absolute blast.
I think the only time I left a concert early was one ozzfest when Ozzie called out sick so maiden closed the day with a double set. I appreciated the sentiment, but I am not a maiden fan by any means.
