I always liked Supertramp. Today I'm listening to the Crime of the century CD. I still like it, but it sounds thin and the compression artifacts are quite annoying. I was thinking that with AI processing, they should be able to fix the compression artifacts and give it a more dynamic sound without ruining the creative performance they originally intended.

They were one of the groups that impressed me more with their musical ability rather than the quality of their recordings. I've been a fan of theirs for decades, but I never had high enough quality equipment to hear the lacking quality.

Alan parsons was the opposite... excellent recording quality, but mostly mediocre music. His instrumental stuff is a good example... the same riffs/arpeggios, just laid out in a chord progression that, honestly, could've been played on a Casio keyboard. At least on dsotm he had some brilliant musicians providing the source material.
