Dropped out of main stream life in the 80's to focus on offspring, family, and, of course, work, to provide for said family.
I really do feel bad for your generation. If you know any elder folks, listen to their stories and their memories and you can live vicariously through them.

I read Electric Kool-aid acid test by Tom Wolfe when I was in university. Seemed like an interesting time.
