I love Ravel's orcestration of this set of sound poems. The last bit is epic. Crashing cymbals. It don't go no better nor this, bey.

It was difficult to find the orchestrations of other composer, but I agree the version by Ravel is incredible.

Excellent piece. Each movement is a great example of program music. You can totally 'see' what the music is describing. Ballet of the chicks in their shells is a fun one.

I've always enjoyed the Russian Five. Rimsky-Korsakov is one of my favorite composers. I'm doing some re-listens. It's been a while since I've closed my eyes, relaxed and floated along where the music takes me.

Thanks for the comment. I keep changing my opinion on which of the five is my favourite, but there is something to appreciate from all of them.
