It makes it easier for others to see what’s in the post so they don’t have to open it. Its a rule in the sidebar of the music sub. I don’t know if it’s a rule in other subs. I only post music, so I had to learn the format early on, on Voat.

I was on Voat too, but rarely posted until the end. I was also on Poal, but got paranoid because of all the government threats about disinformation, so I deleted myself twice.
I didn't know the rule. I should have looked first. I do appreciate the info, however.
