I tried pushing the snake this morning before it got too hot. I hit every little thing in the ceiling.
Some god is laughing at me.
The threaded rod kind can be better than the wire kind, try both.
I have a fiberglas rod. The space between the floor and the ceiling of the lower level has a lot of crossbeams.
I often use a kit consisting of several threaded fiberglass rods and various attachments for the end. Those crossmembers can be a bitch to navigate! I remodel homes, and tell people in advance I may need to cut the ceiling open here and there to run wires, so far no one complained.
The house I've been working in this past year...I ran wire all over the place, installed lots of lights...the people rarely use them, lol. The man is obsessed with 'saving energy', even tho the lites are low-wattage LEDs.
