So where are all these rebel rock'n'roll bands that are all about freedom and shit. I remember Pearl Jam cancelling show because of some anti-faggot laws. And all these bands that don't go to Russia because "muh faggot rights violation".

They don't get promoted, anymore, and are in fact actively shunned and banished from the mainstream. If you speak the truth, through your music, nobody will ever know who you are. That's just the way it is, and has been, for at least a couple of decades. There's still great music being put out, if you're willing to look for it. Hell, Megadeth is probably the most mainstream of them, that you'll ever hear about. Those guys are legit; you should check out their latest album, "Dystopia."

Exactly. It’s all one machine. Corporations media politics. All one single unit. There’s also smaller groups that fall in line misguided or stupid they still fall in line. Whatever they choose to turn against you’ll see it. A good example was how they turned against trump with the Russia hoax

I have no idea. My musical knowledge ends about 1990.

Mine ends with the death of Patsy Cline

Way to go Clapton!

He ended up playing somewhere with a vax mandate anyways.

Rolling Stone writes that at a 1976 concert, a “gob-smacked” Clapton who was “clearly inebriated” made “vile, racist comments from the stage” about immigration to the United Kingdom and that he said, “Get the wogs out . . . get the coons out.”

sweet. Too bad they didn't listen and look where they are now.

I'm sure that comment is still making Rolling Stone's panties bunch up, even today.

Am I crazy? Wasn’t Clapton in the news recently for playing a vax-mandated venue despite saying he would cancel all those shows?

Probably. Dollars sing a powerful song.
