First Suite in E♭ for Military Band, Op. 28, No. 1 by Gustav Holst
Holst completed this suite in 1909 with the premiere performance being given in 1920 at the Royal Military School of Music. At this time music for military band was predominantly adaptations of works for other ensembles or songs. This suite represents the first work Holst would compose specifically for military band.
This work is comprised of three movements: I. Chaconne II. Intermezzo III. March
