This song is hilariously shitty, but there is an interesting back story behind the guy. He was apparently some millionaire stockbroker who left Wall Street in the early 90's and stopped giving a shit. Instead, in his late 30's or early 40's, he become a boxing nut and would eventually win a few prize fights and had a winning record. He was well-known in NYC boxing gyms and was generally respected amongst the boxers as a knowledgeable and tough guy. Around the same time, he committed to this side project of making a rap album. His rapping voice is kind of terrible and his rhymes and delivery are pretty pedestrian--even for that era, but his beat selection was very appropriate for that era. He probably paid decent money for production. If you put it all into perspective of this guy being a middle-aged Jewish stockbroker suddenly deciding to make a rap album, he actually exceeds expectations, musically.

That being said, a renegade Jew coming after me is the stuff nightmares are made of.
