I've been an EMT, Lifeguard, SCUBA Certified, Swift Water SAR. Swam, played Water Polo in school. Only an idiot jumps into moving water without gear and support. Doing so just adds work for the poor bastards doing recovery (the true R in SAR). Always wait for the nigger to go face down and still, then hook them with a pike pole from a boat or shore.
