Cello Concerto No. 1 in C major, Hob. VIIb/1 by Joseph Haydn
Haydn most likely completed his first Cello concerto in 1765 for his friend and fellow musician Joseph Franz Weigl. Joseph was at the time the principal cellist in the court of Hungarian Prince Nicolaus Esterházy.
The work is comprised of three movements: I. Moderato II. Adagio III. Allegro molto
