Lohengrin, WWV 75, Overture by Richard Wagner
Wagner composed his opera ‘Lohengrin’ in 1848 with the premiere performance taking place in Weimar, Germany in August 1850. The opera was immediately successful and has been performed regularly in many countries. The opera is based on the medieval German story of the swan knight.
