You want to help win the culture war? Put out an awesome album. I want to but I have college*, other stuff and I want master my craft as a musician before I make something.

So what should you do? Learn music and make an awesome album.

  • Learn instrument and music theory
  • Get basic recording stuff
  • Get either Adobe Audition, Audacity or some other recording program
  • Make album
  • Get proper legal stuff for it (ex. Copyright)
  • Release music
  • Maybe make some money
  • Possibly tour and perform it

*= Yes college is a scam. I'm going to a local college that has dirt cheap tuition for a business degree. It'll help with me get work that pays decent. I'm probably going to law school at some point after.

Trumpet. Any respectable ska band should have a horn section. Reggae can get away without one now-a-days, but a couple horns can really add a lot to the range in style the band can get away with.

It does help I agree. I've wondered if society should go back to jazz and non rock and non rap genres
