I never really cared for the lyrics and themes when Roth was the frontman. Too much about trying to get laid or getting drunk/high. Sammy had some great ballads and more uplifting themes.

Kinda out there but I think of Elena Tonra as a rock artist because she's a really good guitarist and usually plays a strat or telecaster. People know her from the band Daughter and I think this song Human kinda gives you the rock vibe. Not exactly what they're known for but it's rock IMO:
