Dude, same here. I was like enthusiastically fond of them. Now they kind of come off as tryhard "protest music", or something.
Dunno, Maybe it's just the clownworld zeitgeist permeating everything these days, even our own tastes. Honk.
Seen them live several times, used to love Muse, now like you guys have gone off them a fair bit.
Understandably they are one of the bands that change musical styles dramatically between album releases and can alienate fans.
But Hullabaloo, Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, Black Holes and revelations was amazing, Resistance (Dubstep killed it for me) and Simulation Theory is subpar and only worthwhile with the music videos that make a larger story like an 80s miniseries.
