This album got me into Hank for reals. Matt Johnson totally encouraged his fans to check out the source material, and so we did. My mom's aunt would tease me about my violin playing, asking when I would learn proper fiddling to accompany her on guitar singing Hank sings, and I just held a childish grudge, thinking"fiddling" is an affront to real violin excellence... Well, I grew to understand the joke far too late. I henceforth endeavoured to have a sense of humour... But this album is awesome, despite my digressive nonsense...
