i’ll go all in and say this was the best rock show i’d ever been to. lupos heartbreak hotel in providence rhode island was the best venue in new england while it still existed. weezer had just reunited for a string of small club shows after pinkerton flopped and rivers had his little depression episode. i’ve never seen a crowd so pumped. i remember everyone losing their shit when they took down the sheet that was over the big light up =W= and going crazier when they took the stage. i remember brian starting jonas early while rivers was trying to tune. they absolutely fucking killed the night, playing most of blue and pinkerton. they were considered largely a failure joke band at that point, but the people that came out for that show were crazy pumped and were singing crazy loud to every song. its a shame they are such a pussy band these days and rivers is a faggot bitch.
