But I feel it lacks the raw intensity of his solo stuff from back in the day
I always liked that one. There were maybe better but this one always stood out because of how he sang it like he really meant it. It told some kind of a vague story with all the boring bits left out.
Man I wish I had sharable links of other favorites of the time, but so say we all, I suppose.

I love his little dig at q about the people waiting for a plan or whatever. The snarkiness of that instantly reminded me of h8s lyrical style and I was pretty sure it was him. It was different hearing him with a full awesome band instead of just his guitar but it was him alright.
I didn't catch that ..it's seems like a song about fame and the sheep are the just the ticket buying cd/mps buying fans...and we are all drawn to the alluring temptation of fame the dream, as is the songwriter talking in 3rd person to himself...that is why the song sounds so authentic...he wants to be famous....put this in a movie..it becomes a #1 hit...
