There's a few bands that do this really effectively. Beartooth, Grimner, I prevail, and old school Avenged Sevenfold come to mind. Usually, the verses are heavy with scream vocals and the chorus is more melodic. The band Jinjir does the opposite, where the verses are melodic and the chorus is heavy. I like that too. The contrast just sounds good to me. Thoughts?

Digital Veil by The Human Abstract would probably be up your alley. They had 2 albums before Digital Veil with a different singer, and while still good, they’re not as polished sounding.
