Trump isn't charging for people to attend the rally. Why isn't it fair use for him to play whatever music he wants?
I don't know if they filed a legal S&D order or if they're just "requesting" its non-use. Whichever it is, why be contentious, I'm sure there's many artists who would welcome the exposure.
They still get exposure for being 'woke' and coming out against the president.
Not that a big name like Petty or the Rolling Stones who I think also did this in 2016 need it.
They can demand all they want, but the campaign almost assuredly made sure they're on solid legal ground. It would be a massive PR disaster to be successfully sued by a dead musicians family.
