80s pop music was the precursor to the mindless, auto-tuned, hugely post-processed, robo-chords pop drivel we're subjected to today. I didn't care for it then and in retrospect I rather hate it now. Not that there weren't a few memorable, well written and produced songs. But as a whole it was the beginning of the end.

Rap, hip hop, whatever it isn't even music. Niggers are dumb as fuck and their 'music' is a reflection of that.
The only reason it sounds better is because it wasn't as overproduced and it sounded warmer thanks to the non-digital technology used back then. Otherwise, there were lots of robotic drum machines and repetitive rythms. True, there were lots of writers who had a formal musical education and knew how to write a progression, but this happens all the time.
