i have 500 gig ssd and a few drives like 1 terabyte each

i'm far from filling them tho

once you go ssd you never go back

Actually I did. ssd is great for os, but cost to much if backing up tb's.

yeah i wouldn't throw songs on a ssd,

cost, you can get my drive for under 100 USD now pm me if ya want to know. other wise my drives are all WD blues

With the cost of NVMe SSDs, good multi-core CPUs, and RAM, all at good prices; I've taken to recommending people build new PCs again. Current generation machines that have the capacity to accept the new standards.
The 26 TB RAID6 I mentioned is part of that project. The entire family-cloud setup should cost about $4k (the drives are HDD, but good quality)

Slightly over 4 TB, but I'm setting up a family Cloud to keep important things, and it's set to be 26 TB double-redundant.
edit Noticed the sub we're in. I have maybe 4GB of music.

In music? You prob replied to new and didnt look at sub. I cant imagine 4 tb of music, but that would prob include fuckin all.
