As a young Marine in the early to mid 70s, spent about two years of that time (not all at once) at Camp LeJeune, NC. At that time, there were places where it was not safe for white Marines to go after dark. I wonder if that has changed. It was one of those things that everyone knew about, but no one would say out loud. If you did you ended up having to take some "classes."

Fucked up.

I didn't know about this. I would have thought back then there were still enough good old boys to put the niggers in their place.

It was during Viet Nam. They needed replacement bodies so standards were lowered resulting in more niggers qualifying for enlistment. Black Marines were getting away with lots of things. If a white Marine complained about all the nigger shit, he would have to go to some nigger sensitivity classes. And yeah, I ended up in a class. It was basically a kiss nigger ass class and how to avoid hurting their delicate sensitivities. I was leaning towards making a career and was told with my scores I could make E-6 pretty quick if I re-enlisted. I was a 19 YO E-5 while most of my peers were in their early 20s. Niggers were the main reason I got out.

Shame...

It's only gotten worse I'm sure.

It's like that where there's any larger than 20-30 blacks. Hell, back in the 70's my dad knew you didn't go near the "Black" parts of town... yet he still thinks he can be buddy buddy with blacks to this day.
