To live in "gated communities" is pretty much the only option for lack of better alternative, that's what orania is mostly all about, that's what those who can afford it do in brazil
They use a different approach to the concept of "gate"/barrier of entry, the amish approach being somehow the polar opposite of the rich-brazilian-suburban-communities approach, while orania tends to be a mix in between, but they all rely on private ownership of the land under some collective management essentially. You also have the mormons south of the border functioning that way
