Banzhaf said civilians who intervene to help others are generally prohibited from using “deadly physical force” to defend them, with New York state law defining that term as “physical force which, under the circumstances in which it is used, is readily capable of causing death or other serious physical injury.”
What? That is crazy. I would never help strangers to begin with since I’m in a blue area and any friend that blue doesn’t get my help either. Only family and conservative friends but we don’t have that crazy law here, at least for now.
