And if I recall correctly, the first country they get to is the one they should seek asylum from. They can’t pick and choose; their life is bad enough to flee, the next country will be better. Crossing to get to Germany or skipping by Mexico to get to the US doesn’t work.

A problem I see is that in the past people came to America to assimilate and become Americans. Now people come to America and want to turn America into a shit-hole like the one they left. I almost forgot, the free stuff. People who sneak into the US illegally are rewarded with free food, free housing, free medical care, free schooling for their children, etc...
