It would be great if someone with some time on their hands, could tally up all the media reports and claims of racist hate crimes, and then work out the percentage of those that turn out to be hoaxes.

There used to be a sub on reddit and then a domain that popped up from that that tracked them all called hatecrimehoax.com or something but I think it was removed
