Good sir, may I point out from personal experience that a lot of such people like me constantly apply for low skill work, but they won't even interview us for a janitor job.
When I tried asking the Jobcentre for help finding any work I could manage, they tried to cancel my benefits first just because I had asked before doing anything to help me.
Non white people with the same skills and experience need to apply for almost twice as many jobs before getting one Interview, and that's not factoring in that they are less likely to be offered the job if there is an equally skilled prettier white person.
These things are actually real, and the programs in place that are meant to help are bullshit and operate in a sense of punishment first, help later.
If someone offered me any paid job that I could reasonably manage I would start it tomorrow. I would need help with travel and to start with a maximum of 2 days a week because all my joints are already RIP, but they would give me help with travel and lower hours plus benefits is what most benefits claimants already do.
