Hollywood has basically run the exact same stories and scenarios on repeat with some minor tweaking for a century. I already knew this, but the more I watch old movies, the more I can immediately recognize all of the scenes which were later regurgitated in contemporary movies.

It's actually pretty creepy. I almost wonder if they have access to some sort of ancient manuscripts on Roman bread & circuses which provides them with the archetypes and themes to use in entertainment stories in order to mass control the populations throughout history.

Hollywood doesn't like to pay writers what they are worth.

They figure why do that when we can just recycle stories and part of stories, mix and match, whatever.

This is the main reason for their decline. Loss of creativity.

Creativity is the most profitable aspect of humanity.

Hollywood thinks it's too much work.

They want easy street.

If it continues this way, Hollywood will fall.

They made a LOT of money over the years. This past year they are coasting on that. They can coast for many more years. Haven't heard the theaters screaming for a bailout yet, but that day may be coming soon.
