The gist of it is that an Army Ranger is tasked with escorting a Belgian Malinois shepherd to the funeral of her handler and then to be put down. The dog has become unable to be handled. She lashes out and has to be muzzled for everyone's safety. They take their road trip, and they bond.

Having a female Malinois myself, I gotta say they nailed the dog's mentality in the movie. The loyalty, the stubbornness, and the utility of the dog were accurate and on full display.

They take a trip down the west coast. Portland is hilarious. All of the people were accurately portrayed as woke idiots, and the main character cannot get along with anyone.

It was a heartwarming and patriotic story about a lonely guy who found a dog that understood him, eventually. I highly recommend it.
