Respectfully T2 was poop. Edward Furlong was god awful, Linda Hamilton as a "warrior" was stupid, the Terminator became a step father and nothing except for the special effects were noteworthy. The first movie was good because despite its small budget, every aspect of the film was solid. By the time I saw the stupid motorcycle chase in T2, I was done. Liquid metal or not, without real consequences for the violence on screen, it just becomes another explody, stupid catch phrase filled tedium with forced and unwelcome sentiment. Cameron's work on Aliens was good because it was expanded on the source material while retaining the vibe of the first movie, but T2 deviated so far from the first movie in tone, tempo, and spirit, I can't regard it as much better than any of the others that followed after, except that it had the biggest budget of any movie ever made at that point in time.
