I'm 46.. just turned.
My all time max bench was 320 around age 24 to 26 can't remember for sure.
I got back up to 275 recently after losing 30 pounds from 210 to just under 180.. I'm at around 185 my high school playing weight.
I want to get back to 300 club but it is not easy. I have a good base right now just need to keep crushing and grinding
Do you wear a Lifting Vest?
No? Should I? I wear gloves that's about it for gear.
If you lift at home or alone disregard. Look into anyway
I was a competitive lifter for a few years and trained with one on but wasn't allowed during competition. Some will allow. It isolates the muscles and your form, usually allowing a heavier lift. Nice training aid for us older guys. However it takes help to put on and off.
