The US military is being shaken by a wave of suicides. The authorities are desperate to prevent suicides, which have increased over the past few years.

Regarding the suicides, US Defense Secretary Loyd Austin ordered to improve access to psychological help for military forces to reduce the number of suicides in the army.

According to a Brown University study, the number of US soldiers and veterans who have committed suicide is four times higher than the number of US military casualties since September 2001.

Currently, American soldiers can easily purchase firearms from stores inside the military base, but the Suicide Investigation Committee in the US Army has recommended that a four to seven-day period be considered for the delivery of weapons to soldiers.

More than 500 cases of suicide among American soldiers have been recorded over the past year (2022). The suicide rate among family members of the American military has increased exponentially, reaching 200 suicide cases last year.
