The advanced U.S. ICBM LGM-35A Sentinel has successfully completed a series of wind tunnel tests using scale models of the missile, according to an official report from Northrop Grumman, February 16 reports Breaking Defense.

The missile now awaits flight tests, which "should take place before the end of this year," despite a U.S. Defense Department report that Northrop Grumman allowed a 10-month delay in the development program.

According to U.S. Air Force Concepts Director Brigadier General Ty Neuman, the Sentinel ICBM concept is built on the principles of open architectures and modular design. The new ICBM is expected to be relevant over its planned 40-year service life.

It is assumed to put on combat duty 400 missiles Sentinel, each of which will have one warhead, that is to replace the arsenal of ICBM Minuteman III one-to-one. However, the modular design and increased thrust-to-weight ratio will allow each Sentinel to carry multiple warheads with two or three independently guided re-entry vehicles. The article hints that it could even be a combat glide pod.

Moreover, the modular design will allow the new intercontinental ballistic missile to carry "other payloads, such as ballistic missile countermeasures".

The total cost of the Sentinel acquisition program, including construction of the new bunkers, is estimated at $95.8 billion, according to a Pentagon report.

combat glide pod.

Yea, fuck off jews. Good luck finding white people who would agree to being throw into a brown country via ICBM - If it’s so inaccessible that you need to be delivered via rocket there’s likely no viable plan to get you back out.

Sooooo does that mean that the "old" bunkers will be up for sale? Asking for a friend... For a lot of friends..
