A Russian frigate armed with hypersonic Zircon cruise missiles has come within striking distance of Washington.

The Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov, armed with hypersonic cruise missiles Tsirkon, has come within striking distance of the American capital. A few hours ago the Russian warship was at a distance of about 1,300 kilometers from Washington, which, given the range of the Russian hypersonic Zircon missiles, is direct evidence that Russia is sending signals to the United States about its presence off the American coast.

The information that the Russian warship really crossed the Atlantic Ocean was confirmed, and it is quite remarkable that it was possible to detect the Russian ship carrying the hypersonic long-range cruise missiles only when the latter was already in the central part of the Atlantic Ocean, i.e. it was already at a distance of direct missile strike by "Zirkons" from the US coast.

Nevertheless, the Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov was known to have carried out electronic launches of cruise missiles.

"The crew of the frigate Admiral Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov, operating in areas of the western Atlantic Ocean, conducted a computer simulation exercise on the use of hypersonic missile weapons. In accordance with the training situation the frigate Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov has mastered the organization of a hypersonic attack with a Tsirkon missile on a sea target simulating a ship of a simulated enemy located at a distance of over 900 kilometers," the Defense Ministry reports.

The Pentagon has not yet responded to the appearance of a Russian frigate armed with hypersonic missiles off the U.S. coast.

This is a shorter range missile. More like a cruise missile but very fast. It looks like a modified stolen design. The challenge with Hypersonic Missiles is that they are nearly unstoppable. And they can take out almost any target. We should have had these weapons 20 years ago, but the idiot bureaucrats drug there asses until Russia came out with one. I started the ball rolling in '95, so you can see what I mean.
