"Scrapped" is a misleading category when it comes to military inventory like aircraft, ships, and vehicles. The only time military hardware is ever truly scrapped, is when its in the operational theatre, and has been stripped down to its frame. Mind you, sometimes it's not damaged when that happens. Your unit leaves vehicles behind and another unit needs parts, you better have the paperwork already done up because that incoming unit will strip an outgoing units aircraft and vehicles down to their frame and leave it on cinder blocks like it was parked in the projects.
