>historically most commands have prevented this in the past by threatening administrative action against active duty individuals who wanted to apply- even though many active duty individuals have historically qualified for food stamps.

most commanders prevented it because it cast "bad light" upon the military.

You're full of shit.

There's a literal Brigade Resources NCO in every Brigade S1 section that has an additional duty to help brand new Soldiers that are inprocessing to the unit sign up for SNAP if they require the assistance. It was a normal and expected part of life back in the 1990's and there are still Soldiers that use SNAP, especially those who enter Active Duty with children already.

"Most commanders" don't get a say in it. It's post policy to direct Soldiers to resources when mouths to feed are depending on it.

Ask me how I know this.

Quit your lying.

well, either you're full of shit or we have to recognize that not all branches are alike. it's probably best that we part ways on that note, lest we both ends up doxing ourselves as currently being in the service (and on this website).

army, you guys are really woke but, I guess that happened a long time ago. I never noticed until just now.

"You proved me wrong, so I'll back out of the debate and say your branch is super woke, bro"
