Surrounding areas suffer much the same. Sickness, disease and death is just another horseman. Taxes gonna rise everywhere to support the victims. Those who stood fast, gonna pay for the 'welfare' of the sick. Socialism > Communism is inevitable going forward, lest the gene-pool decides to save itself from the genetically tainted.
