It's unfortunate to read that. I wish your offspring the best in their terms of service and hope that your community is economically and politically active enough to be influential in pressuring your political establishment to enter/support only conflicts that are aligned with the countries best interests, not just those of the corporations and bankers.
I was too, but both are going for unconventional reasons. My son is in ROTC to go career officer in the air Force. After beginning his degree in physics, he found he HATED academia, and the job positions the degree usually opens were extremely liberal. In the air Force, he's surrounded by folks who are very like minded, and it gives him security in the future for doing what he loves.
And my daughter is going for a medical position in the nvay, because conventional school is simply too expensive. By going this route, not only will she get money for college, but she will already have some training in the field of medicine that she wants.
Both are being smart about their choices. I think it'll be ok
It's even more unfortunate to read you all possess such delusions. Regardless, I still wish your offspring the best in their terms of service and hope that your community is economically and politically active enough to be influential in pressuring your political establishment to enter/support only conflicts that are aligned with the countries best interests, not just those of the corporations and bankers.
