Segregation works for many reasons ... imagine you being a guy looking for advice on how to propose to your wife. It's better to talk to a bunch of dudes at a male only bar than a mix of women and men because women historically, will give you absolutely terrible advice. It's not even that women are dumb, it's that they need a leader to tell them what to do. You simply can not put a passive, submissive entity like a woman into a place where assertion are required, it will fail every time, no matter how hard you try
