Can anyone confirm its authenticity? There is no way of knowing if the audio is legit.

Ward Carrol posted the video on his YouTube channel. That doesn't 100% confirm legitimacy, but he has a lot of experience on a carrier, and a lot of hours as REO in the tomcat.
