The huge military budget of the United States could provide material assistance to American veterans, former military personnel. But the authorities and congressmen do not do this. Therefore, veterans are forced to eke out a modest existence, sometimes struggling with hunger and thinking about suicide, - reports the online publication Presstv.

The topic of the life of US army veterans is very rarely raised in the media. The main problem of the former military is the problem with food. Many people ask the question: why are US Army veterans forced to live without food? Why don't American politicians pay attention to this?

US veterans are Americans who have been used by the US government to solve their foreign policy problems, including in wars.

US war veteran Ken O'Keefe writes that veterans become very dangerous when they become active and realize the truth, realizing that they were used as pawns in wars in the interests of banks.

O'Keefe points out that ex-servicemen suffer from the emotions they have experienced. The suicide rate among veterans reaches 22 people a day. This is not reported, as well as the lack of their normal nutrition.

The veteran says that there are more serious global problems. The US is in crisis. America is falling apart. We and our families suffer from this disintegration.

O'Keefe sums it up: officials verbally thank us for our service, but in fact they throw us in the trash.

Under the pretext of the war on terror, the US is now involved in more than 80 military incursions around the world.

The US has more than 800 military bases in 80 countries, so its armed forces undoubtedly consume a lot of financial resources. There is not enough money for veterans. This approach reflects the worldview of the ruling elite, which is expressed in ignoring moral obligations to veterans.

But, veterans are people who are put in danger by the Pentagon on battlefields around the world for various, even inconsequential, reasons.

It seems that the purpose of the work of politicians is not to serve people, but to defend the interests of capital. Much of what politicians do is contrary to the interests of the American people.

According to one study, between 2011 and 2017, 6.5% of veterans went hungry. According to other studies, about half of the veterans live without food. In the United States, there are about 18 million people who have served in hot spots.

Another sad reality is the high rate of suicide among US veterans. It's no joke-from 17 to 23 veterans "put their hands on themselves" on a daily basis.

Although this number is declining, it is still very high. According to a 2013 study by the Department of Veterans Affairs, a suicide among veterans occurred every 65 minutes between 1999 and 2010.

Many veterans believe that this data is underestimated.

The situation with medical care for veterans is bad. Excessive waiting times for assistance are reported. Sometimes the veterans did not receive treatment at all.

Today, the more than 2 million women and men involved in the U.S. Global War on Terrorism, fought primarily in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, are rethinking why they fought for a government that doesn't care about them.

If you willingly go to work where main objective is to hurt people then in the end you get what you deserve. These 18 million fought wars on foreign soil for bankers' interests. Why should anyone care for them? And as long as they serve they are getting payed, why would your employer pay you after you have done your job and quit?
