How are we supposed to take the PLA seriously as a threat when they are a bigger threat to their own troops than our own military?

They are historically the worst soldiers ever and now they are walking around with booby traps on their heads.

They would be slaughtered in huge numbers if they ever set foot in the USA. Plus their economy would be destroyed by one Cruz missile hitting the three gorges dam.

The words "elite", "Chinese" and "troops" should never be used in the same sentence. Just look at what the Japanese army did to Nanking in WWII! Their capital city destroyed and the population massacred while their army ran like bitches.

Isn't that why sniper teams contain a spotter which have field glasses, optical scopes, night and thermal vision? They can also think outside the box and don't have to worry about their superior bumping the red button if they don't get a passable kill tally.

If they are genetically engineering soldiers why not give the chinaman balls bigger than raisins or more muscle mass, or less dependant on water?

It's hard to believe but genetic engineering of humans is already a thing. We're not about to have a war of the clones but there exist genetically modified humans right now.
