This is why they take in in the young whom are unaware of the world. It's not their fault that the media doesn't tell the truth, but they fought the enemy they were told was bad, and honored their country by it.
Which is why I was always against rememberance day or any other military holiday even in high school.
Even then I knew it was horseshit.
Why would anyone fight a war for someone else and not even get a cut of the spoils? All they get is a shitty wage and then a pension to keep them stifled until they die at home.
What honor do you have to cast doubt?
To many, prestige and accomplishment mean infinitely more than spoils. It's not materialism that matters when you die.
My honor is my own. I self-educate. I educate. I do not serve corporate interests. I'm a shitty consumer. I don't fight foreign campaigns, I educate my family, I spread the truth. When the time comes for me to take up arms, I will do so only on my terms for the things I believe in.
Other than that I've done plenty for my economy and community in the form of work. I didn't work hard in the military doing nothing for the country. I worked on domestic projects.
I'm fighting the good fight every day. I have been for over a decade.
And if there weren't so many vaginas walking around, I'd be at war already. Alas, I must wait until more are awoken. Until then, I recruit.
