Bump-stocks were always a gimmick on the bright side. They make a rifle less accurate and you'd have to be an idiot if you can't figure out how to bump fire a low recoil one. Literally just wear one of those puffy rapper jackets w/ too much padding... congrats... you can now bump fire a low recoil rifle efficiently with greater accuracy. It's as dumb a law as that shit in cali that requires pistol grips on rifles to have this plastic insert behind them so you can't hold the pistol grip... nevermind any person w/ a pair of scissors could remove it. It's always humorous to me how the people that write the gun control laws understand them the least. I've got 2 Fostech Echo triggers which are 100% legal. The one I have installed on a milled 80% billet aluminum lower can mag dump insanely faster than bump firing alone(no you don't need a special stock to bump fire). Releases a round on trigger pull then a second round on trigger release. B/c federal and state laws I'm not required to register this firearm even in blue state of va atm. Check out the youtube videos on em if you wanna see what I mean.

Their real value isn't in the magdumps but the abilty to accurately and instantly double tap targets on the AR platform w/ virtually no need to compensate for recoil... b/c 5.56mm doesn't really have that problem to begin w/.
A buddy of mine installed a Fostech trigger on his AR and can't stop bragging about it.
And you're right - the people that write these gun laws know so little about guns it's pathetic. Then again, they don't care about learning. They care about taking away your right to defend yourself from them.
